Right To Life

Everybody has the right to Life.  Everybody has the right to Life.

We don’t have to love one another to see a brighter future

And you don’t have to call me “brother” if that don’t suit ya

And protecting one another, well that don’t right the wrong, no no

But a little respect for one another, that’s all we need to get along

We all wanna live to see another day and no one’s got the right to take that right away

Maybe you should leave it all behind, girl, if living here’s as lonely as you say

I don’t understand what’s on your mind, girl.  I don’t understand what makes you stay.

If life with me is really so unkind, girl, why don’t you just turn and walk away?

Chorus:

Everybody has the right to Life.  Everybody has the right to Life.

The right to live’s not ours to give or take away.  Everybody has the right to Life.

Now we can argue all night long, but what’s that gonna do?

‘Cause no one’s right and no one’s wrong:  we just got a different point of view

Look at the sad and sorry people, living in the past

Holding on to bitter, bitter memories, and making ’em last

Too many people have suffered and died.

It’s time we learned to live side by side by side

Repeat chorus

Just ’cause you don’t dig what they do don’t mean you gotta diss what they do

They got a right to be here too.  They’re just a little different from you.

We’re all born the same and life ain’t a game.

It’s rough, it’s tough, life is tough enough – when are these

People gonna understand that death don’t need a helping hand?

Everybody has the right to Life.  Everybody has the right to Life.

Let your heart be your guide.   Don’t let your head decide,

Full of anger, vengeance and pride, all you wanna do is stand up and fight

Man to man, or nation to damnation, down on the street or global devastation

Voices demanding retribution.  What’s the solution?  Another war?

Another cause worth dying for?  Vengeance is nothing new

But nothing you can ever do would justify me killing you…

Everybody has the right to Life.  Everybody has the right to Life.

The grim reaper stalks this land as a blade or a gun in the hand

Of every man who wants to make a stand for so-called truth and justice

When the plain fact is ”two wrongs don’t make a right” and we all got the right to life.

Repeat chorus
