Smugglers

Smugglers The Musical is set in Cornwall in the 1740s.

Home Based on a novel written by John over 10 years ago, Smugglers follows the exploits of a young lad captivated by the thrill of his father's illicit trade.  Rocked by personal tragedy, he sets out to escape his meagre lifestyle in defiance of the King.

An unscrupulous and murky customs officer is hell-bent on the lad's demise, but of all his adversaries - the Royal Dragoon Guards, other smuggling gangs and the Landguard - it is a young lass, a victim of unrequited love, who threatens to seal his fate.  Jack's exploits will take you on an emotional roller coaster as he greets adulthood a little more quickly than most...

Smugglers is rated PG as the show is an accurate reflection of life in England in the 18th century - where hunger, poverty and violence were a way of life.
